Let's introduce Japanese food to Americans to solve obesity epidemic in America

Would Japanese food be a game-changer to solve obesity in America?

I suggest that Japanese food would be one solution to solve a high proportion of obesity in America. The statistics show that about 30 percent of Americans are classified obese, and it is estimated in 10 years, more than 40 percent of Americans would be suffering from obesity or overweight, which would be the major cause of developing various sicknesses. If Americans do not do anything to reduce the number of obese people, more Americans are suffering from diabetes and cardiac diseases.

In order to address this huge social problem, I suggest we should introduce Japanese cuisines to Americans. Traditional Japanese food such as miso soup and rice, grilled fish contains abundant nutrition, and it is effective in lowering cholesterol level, improves blood circulation and cognitive functions and it keeps you stay healthy. Also, scientific studies show that eating Japanese food is effective in reducing the risks of cardiovascular diseases.

We must promote the healthiness of Japanese food and explain logically why Japanese foods are effective in losing weight and be healthier.

Some Americans already acknowledge that Japanese foods are healthy, and “tofu” is sold in grocery stores and supermarkets. The tofu wasn’t popular among Americans since the taste was didn’t suit American’s taste.

After the coronavirus outbreak, the demands of the tofu has risen strikingly, every tofu in the store disappeared, and the sales figure of Tofu has surged. Also, more people look ed up recipes of dishes using “Tofu” on the internet.

Therefore, I suppose it is not difficult for us to introduce Japanese food to Americans.

Researches have proved that obese people are more likely to get into severe conditions by being infected by a coronavirus, so I believe we urgently need to persuade Americans into losing weight so as to reduce the fatality rate in America.
